Valerie was born in Glasgow, Scotland (UK/CDN Passports) and began putting on skits at a young age whilst growing up in the Maritimes. She continued to develop her theatrical nature in school and university. Upon moving west to Vancouver, she became side-tracked with other interests (advertising/marriage/child rearing) and has now returned to her playful roots. In the past few years she has been building a career in Film/TV with recent appearances on Netflix's The Baby-Sitter's Club, CW's The Flash, Hallmark's Garage Sale Mystery, Almost Human, Witches of East End, Alcatraz, The Killing (recurring), Psych and Supernatural.

Along with her love of acting, Valerie has a passion for food and health. She is a RHN (Registered Holistic Nutritionist) and is spreading her newfound nutritional knowledge to anyone seeking good heath and well-being.
